Some of my road travel tips: 1) When traveling during holiday weekends, leave early in the morning before traffic gets too heavy. 2) Be sure to check your state’s “511″ web site to see where construction might be going on and ways to avoid it. 3) Stop every 2 hours to stretch your legs. 4) Pack a small cooler with water and healthy snacks. 5) Pack games, books, DVDs to keep the kids entertained. 6) Don’t forget the camera and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!! Congratulations Terry! We’ll be reaching out to you soon so we can send you your prize! Happy Memorial Day everyone! |

Great tips Terry!
Congrats Terry
great tips
Wow, thank you!!
I love a Road Trip! Whether it’s just a day trip or an extended trip. I prefer the car to a plane every time and subscribe to the philosophy that getting there is half the journey! I am a big fan of the bizarre things you can see on the trip, things you miss on a plane. Like the giant Orange Moose we saw in Wisconsin, or the Giant Tooth in New Jersey! My favorite app for finding such interesting Americana is Roadside America. There is a small fee, but for people like me who take road trips once a month or so and who ALWAYS stop for the 2nd largest ball of twine (Minnesota) or Foam-Henge (Virginia) it’s worth the price esp. with the priceless photo ops and memories. It uses GPS to locate the closest attractions, rates them, lets you read reviews, and will direct you to it.
